Diagnosis
Severe Bartter’s Syndrome
- Born prematurely at 26 weeks’gestation
- Suspected polyhydraminious
- Severe failure to thrive.
- Bartter syndrome
- Concentrating defect with intermittent hypernatremia
- Polydipsia and polyusria secondary to Bartter syndrome.
- Nissen fundoplication w/ gastrostomy tube placement. Tube removed at 3 yrs. old
- Nephrocalcinosis secondary to Bartter syndrome.
- Hypercalciuria.
- Positive family history of Bartter syndrome in younger brother.
The above is her status from Utah years ago, which pretty much will always be the same… as many know her past medical history. She had feeding problems for years. Much was probably because the above was never figured out and she was really sick. Her electrolytes were more than likely off – in fact I’m sure they were, but docs always said it’s probably because of her being born prematurely. I will link here soon with a page on past history, etc… For now… I’m trying to get this web-site completed more!
