Dogs – Fibber & Sleeves
FIBBER & SLEEVES
We adopted these two adorable cocker spaniels in June of 2008.
They were three years old when we got them and very much like our pets that passed on. They are both males and seem a bit bigger in size for being cocker spaniels, but they are adapting very well overall to our crazy household!
Fibber’s Birthday is August 29, 2004
Sleeve’s Birthday is November 5, 2004
Info on Fibber… we found out that he can be registered with “America’s Pet Registry” . (We haven’t done this yet, not sure if we will.) His Dad was named Beauregard’s Count Elijah and his mom was named B.B.’s Blue Two. His breeder is Buddy Benson and I don’t know for sure but I think he runs a puppy mill and that is why Fibber is so nuts. (ha. note from previous owner)
Fibber is sometimes nuts though. But, I have to say he has improved a ton lately! When we first got him he would bark at the horses below and now he just looks around. When our neighbor shoots he does shake a bit, but not near as much and any dog would. But, we’ve noticed his eyes aren’t “bugged” out as they used to be (like a Pet Shop toy – ha.) he’s looking more normal and each day and acting more normal.
Sleeves was from a different pet shop and we can’t find info on him. He really is much bigger though and resembles a Springer Spaniel a lot! His fur gets pretty fluffy which makes him look bigger. He is a good dog, he doesn’t depend on Fibber much though – he could care less if Fibber was gone out and about for awhile.
We compare them to our old cocker spaniels a lot and seriously it is strange, but you could swear our old dogs are telling these guys how to act! It is really bizarre. But, of course no one will ever replace our beloved pets, but these guys are doing a pretty good job.
We are happy we got them & hope to give them more attention this spring/summer time since our construction stuff won’t be as important anymore and we can work at a slower pace.
