Other than that… News…

Rob – Turns 40 next Thursday! Having a party at our home next Sat. evening and watching UFC 131. MMA Fighting. Lost last 2 fights. Last one was a really good match up though. Working on our home with projects that have been waiting.

Me – Continuing to design web-sites for other businesses. Most has been for trades. (getting a camper soon!) I do continue to apply for regular work and hope for that stability soon. Other than that, home with the kids so far for summer vacation.

Tif – Glad it is is summer! She is looking forward to her b-day, though we aren’t having a party this year since Rob turns “40″ and she turns 10 next year – we figured next year she can have one again. She’d like to go “do” something or buy something anyway. 4th Grade next year for her!

Kaden – Doesn’t sit still for a moment. Always doing something, sometimes good, sometimes up to no good. It’s a boy thing. Happy to be going to kindergarten next year to Tif’s school. Working on him writing his name though! He knows alphabet, counting, etc. (knew b4 pre-school!), but has no interest in sitting and writing at all! He can’t wait for the new “CARS 2″ movie to come out.

As a family we hope to go camping at least a few times this summer vacation. Spend some more time fishing. Go to the beach area in Ridgway and relax! In August we need to go to Utah for kiddos doctor apt. so we’ll probably plan a little vacation and do some things there or head to Vegas for a few days after apt, haven’t planned it out yet. Wisconsin… still up in the air. Not sure yet! I really need to get some “cash” projects to plan on that one! I know definitely we may just plan on the holidays for Wisconsin and hope for the best weather wise this year.

Almost done with the stone work in master bath. Hoping to get to finish the stone on the outside of our home / lower exposed basement area, etc. before fall. Would like to finish our basement too, but not sure if we’ll get to that this year. Considering selling our home, but it will be after work is finished. We think it may be worth selling for the profit we can make and to live closer to town with driving kids to stuff, etc. may be easier anyway – not sure yet though – tough decision, because we love our place. But, it is just a house – just have to keep reminding ourselves that. Less to clean and a nice fenced yard would be nice too.

Friday was a day in East Troy and visited parents and friends. Saturday there was a family reunion on Rob’s grandmas side, so we got to see others as well. Sat. evening we headed back to allow us some time to ourselves and to take our time with the long drive. We were tired and rested a few times at way sides. Sunday was nice and we stayed at hotel and ate at one of our favorite places, Souper Salad! On way home Monday we also took our time and stopped in Silverthorne for a little while and walked to some shops and along the river.
