Finally we had some fun over the weekend – no working on the house, besides Rob sealing the fireplace. Tif has been talking about soccer lately and how she enjoys it, so we went to Sports Authority and bought a soccer ball, went to Subway to eat, then to the park! We played soccer, went for a long walk, fed the ducks, let her play in playground and headed back home.
Sunday we went to Grand Junction and bummed around, went to some stores and the mall and that was about it. Circuit City is going out of business there, but there really wasn’t any good deals – not that we could buy anything anyway. So, we got back home around 5 or so and watched the Super Bowl. And couldn’t complain there, it was a great game!
Monday is always our extended weekend since Rob has off (except Tif has school) anyway, we went and bought the dogs a shaver. ($140!!) I know, expensive – I literally felt ill over this one. But, we figured if it was finally a good one that would last, it would be worth it. In the past we’d buy $30-$50 ones and then the blades are just as expensive and good for one round of clipping. Anyway, it turns out that this shaver worked excellent! Much better than any we had ever used (remind you, we had 13 years of shaving our cockers in the past.) We still need to get the attachments for blending, but they look really good! I’ll post pictures soon – after we perfect the hair do’! Here’s pics from over the weekend though! aaaagh! so refreshing to get some fresh air and look forward to Spring!
No news on our appraisal yet. We did get all our tax stuff (w’2′s), so I’m working on getting our taxes done asap!! Whether that is good or bad, don’t know yet! Expensive is all I know.
Other news is that we are FINALLY getting closer to getting the kiddos insured – they may now qualify for receiving social security (it may take up to 3 months to find out on that) AND get medical benefits as well (should receive news soon on this one). So, that would be a HUGE help – considering the docs in Utah really want to see these guys and they really need follow up visits. I can’t wait til this is all settled. We STILL have past medical bills to pay, anything extra we had ended up going towards our house project.
