Rough Inspection! All went well! We only have one support beam (we’re going to use a log) we need to have in our kitchen area and then have them inspect again after plumbing and electrical to sign off on everything. We pretty much were thinking that, but our plans weren’t done so well, so we’ve had a lot to figure out on our own. Over the weekend we got a lot done – base built for furnace, drilled holes for plumber, fireplace insertion and chase built, our rounded deck we cut to be round as well. The roofing will be started on the 11th (or sooner) and I just ordered the log siding yesterday and that should be here in just over a week, it’s like regular siding with the log look – no maintenance! Not our first choice, but it was MUCH less in cost, so we have to go with it! Last Monday the concrete was poured in the garage and our garage doors are also in! The doors are powder coated – the close up picture is a bit easier to tell. Our opener is very nice and QUIET! We are glad we chose a better quality in doors and openers. As usual – budget is always a concern, but everything else is falling into place. Some costs are more, some less, but it will even up in the end.

We are always getting compliments on how nice the home looks and the layout, etc. and how MASSIVE it looks. It is big, but overall I think being on the hill there really creates this illusion of being a mansion. ha. so, we got our mansion afterall. Anyway, from the lack of progress all winter – til now! Things are FINALLY speeding up and it’s coming all together as quick as we can right now.

I will be mailing photos soon too – it’s just been so hectic around here lately! I want to take the kids in too and get pictures done, but we’ll see – I seem to do a pretty good job, but it’s nice having them done too. ENJOY our photos of progress! yes!
