Fibber & Sleeves

I realize it’s been awhile with posting the dogs. They aren’t neglected, maybe sometimes – ha. but they actually have been having fun. A few days after the canyon overflow, the dogs when for a swim in our temporary pond and they both loved it!

Well, recently – a few weeks later Fibber decides to jump into the canal below! I had a feeling he may have, but luckily Rob was on his way back home from work, was there right away and Fibber jumped out. NOT an easy thing to do either, it is pretty strong, but he got out luckily!

Then this week Sleeves had a huge lump on his throat – about the size of a golf ball or a bit larger and felt like it! We considered him maybe swallowing something, but it didn’t feel like it. Then thought maybe he got stung or something. I was worried and was thinking about taking him to vet right away. Today it seems to be virtually gone, maybe little lump, so we’ll see. I think soon we’ll take them to vet anyhow for a check up.

Fibber’s b-day is coming up and I think he is going to be 5! (?) Maybe first mom Sarah can pitch in here. I know last year we got them they were 3, not sure if they turned 4 that fall or 3 at that point though.

Again, Fibber ran down below this morning and I drove all the way down the road calling him thinking he jumped in canal again. Luckily when I got back and looked down from our deck he was below on the road, heard me and ran like crazy down the road and then up our driveway. Crazy dog. Now we just need to stay out with them constantly – Fibber used to just come to the door and scratch – no more, he’s off and running lately.

I just shaved them recently so they are looking better. Sleeves is still big, but always looks better and thinner when he’s shaved.

So, finally… here are a BUNCH of photos!!! I think they all turned out pretty cute!

8/4/09: Just a quick update – I edited the neck paragraph above, since I typed it wrong and had Fibber on my brain! But, it was Sleeves with that issue. But, it is now all gone! So, I’m assuming he had gotten bit or stung by something and it is all better now. :)

Now I continue to just stay outside with dogs so Fibber doesn’t go running down the driveway and going on any more stunt dog adventures!
