Canyon Pictures from 7/11/09!

IN EXCESSS…Saturday, July 11th, we had a friend over with a few of his kids working on our central air unit. It rained a down pour for a little bit. Our neighbor called us letting us know that there is a lot of water in the canyon by us. We weren’t thinking of anything of it, but we looked right away – NOT expecting THAT much water! It was amazing and a site I’ll never forget! (I have it saved on my computer desktop.) Apparently the high mountains must of a got an unbelievable amount of rain to have that much water running down the canyon and I guess it doesn’t happen too often and from what I hear, it’s probably the most that has come down! We could of went water rafting in our own back yard. This was to the right of our driveway down below. We are up very high, so we had no problems and our driveway was fine as well. We own part of the property that is washed through behind the mail boxes and had a huge 100 yard hole dug for a pond eventually. That filled right up! We wish we would of lined it, etc. but who knew??!! ha. Due to lightning and electricity, my hair was standing straight up too, it was pretty funny. Anyway, that was our excitement and I still can’t get over it!! It simply was AMAZING.
