Kaden’s B-day Celebration

Sorry for the delay again! I’m a little behind schedule and meant to do this much sooner! I also wanted to wait til I got a “Digital Scrap” made of his celebration. So, I hope it is worth the wait! We waited until Sunday, Sept. 13th to have a little b-day celebration for him. He had a great time and of course the theme was “Cars”.
He just loooved it! Since we had the expense of the party stuff, we just got him match box cars and one bigger gift of a Cars kid computer. He got lots of other great gifts of Cars semi truck with cars, a Swat team play set, a math learning book, and gifts from others including bath boat, movie and various items and a monster truck. He continues to use all them daily! He does not get bored, that is for sure!

9/9/09 – Kaden started pre-school!

The day after his b-day and Kaden started pre-school! He was VERY excited about starting pre-school and bringing his “Cars” backpack to school.

He is only going to school on Mon. & Wedn. afternoon’s. I thought he’d cry and he seemed upset at first as I dropped him off, but he ended up being just fine.

He was soo cute picking him up and sitting there that I took a quick picture! He ended up getting an “Ouch Report” written that he fell on the slide on his left side of cheek. Could of been worse, right? Ha. So, it wasn’t so bad. I honestly pictured being called in several times, but maybe that is in the future. ha. But, I was fine too, which I didn’t think I would be.

He is not potty trained YET, so that is a bummer. We’ve been trying, but he is a tough one because he doesn’t care if he is wet or not! We are working on it and hope he just starts very soon. Though he has his potty seat, he really isn’t too interested in it or letting us know yet.

Here’s some pictures of the big day! And him being passed out in the truck by time we got home! I have to digi-scrap some of these sometime soon!

Anyway, it was another exciting “milestone” day! We’ve had sooo many lately! They are growing too fast – can anyone make it stop??!!!

KADEN is 3 years old!!

Where does the time go? Well, we already know much of it was spent on building our home. Luckily Kaden had fun and continues to want to work on the home. We are changing his career direction a bit and he tends to loves cars even more. haha. And wrestling. Like father, like son!

So, his b-day was on Tuesday. Rob picked up a John Deere tractor cake after work (picture is below – cool, hey??!!) and then later on we sang, did the candle blowing and opened some presents. We didn’t get him much for that day, but he was thrilled and got a bunch of Hot Wheel cars. On Sunday we are having a little b-day party for him at our home later in the afternoon. The theme is Disney “Cars” – so he is excited.

He had a very happy day and is so proud that he is 3 years old and it was his b-day!

Kaden Updates…

Kaden is doing very well. He talks very good and knows all of his colors (even odd ones like brown and pink!). He is starting to recognize many letters in the alphabet as well. He knows a circle and square shape and a star.

I’m not positive yet, I did register him, but I still need to do an orientation and a home visit with teacher yet to get him started in pre-school. It is only 2 1/2 days a week. They don’t seem to be able to tell me what school yet! It’s quite a difference in distance and to drive him to a location that is further doesn’t make sense to us. So, we’ll see – I guess I have to go through more meetings first and it will be a waste if we decide not to!!

Here’s some pictures of Kaden – he is trying to show his teeth too since he tends to copy everything Tif says or does! (she hates that!) And now that Tif is gone during the day, Kaden stepped up and helped feed the boy I watch. ha. today anyway – it was cute!

I can’t believe he turns 3 in a little over a week! YIKES!

Kaden – Shoes Worn Out!

I figured I’d better post Kaden on here some more since many in Wisconsin have not gotten to see him at all or in awhile! Here he is yesterday with his torn shoes. They only lasted about 2 weeks. (maybe less) but he’s still wearing them til I can find some more shoes. (or steel toe boots!) He is walking and talking very well and always into trouble!

It’s Official! Kaden’s Walking!

Look out world! (seriously.) Actually his b-day was the “official” day! Kaden walked really well!! But, he has since progressed and there is no stopping him now! Our house is still a bit of a construction zone, but even though he really hasn’t been around stairs, he goes up and down them just fine – though scooting and crawling, not stepping. He is very careful and does very well. I have a small video clip for his first walking steps on b-day that I’ll add or post soon too! His speech is progressing too, he can and will repeat everything and when I’m putting on socks and shoes – he just automatically says socks and shoes. It is very cute! He is still little and the littlest walker I’ve seen! Besides Tif, though it took her awhile to walk too.

Can you believe he is 2 already!! ( I know he looks like he’s one! hee.) For his b-day he got a Handy Mandy Worker Toy with the tools that talk – it’s cute and he gets a kick out of it especially when the cartoon is on too. Then pictured is a ball toy and a helicopter toy as well.

Crying and Gassy

Kaden is almost 2 years old!! He is sooooo very, very close to walking – I really thought he would be by now, but it’s fair to say that he pretty much does most of the time, he just holds on to stuff and will occassionally take about 6 or more steps on own. He says Sponge Bob and Dora which is funny. (obviously he watches this on tv a bit). He has been waking up early every morning crying and gassy, so not sure what is going on there, but he is doing very well overall and says more words everyday – actually quite a bit, he can repeat almost everything.

He’s a Talker

He is STILL close to walking and he actually does take around 3-4 steps and then acts silly and falls down. He goes from a sit to a stand on his own without holding anything. He has two top and two bottom teeth now and still teething. Words he says is… “mom, dada, hi, bye, up, ball.” I’m sure there is more, but those are the ones that are clear. He talks alot, but no one knows what he is saying, but Kaden! ha.
